What is the A PLUS Fund?

A PLUS (Assistance for People of Lowell’s Utility Services) is a fund that Lowell Light & Power developed in 2010 with Flat River outreach Ministries (FROM) to assist our customers with electric bill payments during the occasional financial crisis. From time to time, anyone can fall short in a given month. In an effort to prevent disruption of electric services or the accumulation of fees, the A PLUS Fund is designed to assist customers who do not qualify for other resources.
Anyone can experience a financial crisis during the normal course of life. A PLUS was created to help with utility bill payments during this time. Since inception, customers have helped LL&P fund the program. We are happy to report that A PLUS has been able to help over one hundred and fifty LL&P customers.
