Think! Energy Presentations

In November, LL&P and Consumers Energy representatives give an interactive presentation at the school talking about what electricity is, what roles it plays in our lives, how it is generated, and about how they can take action to become more energy efficient. Each child receives a backpack of energy saving devices, educational literature, a Home Energy Worksheet to complete with their family, and a few fun items too! LL&P gives classroom scholarships (up to $150 per class) based on number of Home Energy Worksheets returned.

Bushnell 1st Grade

In May, we visit the Bushnell 1st Graders and talk about electrical safety, share the bucket trucks, and help the kids try on lineworker gear including gloves and more.

Impact Church

In June, we share at Safety Town at Impact Church. This event is geared towards kids going into Kindergarten, and we talk about electrical safety, let them check out the bucket truck, and try on lineworker gear.

Storytime at KDL

New in June 2023: Our team read “If I Were a Lineworker” book during Storytime at the KDL Englehardt Library. Each child received a copy of the book and was able to check out the bucket trucks. We have been invited back by the library for next year, and hope this will become a yearly event.
