Old appliances use more energy than current models and are more likely to contain dangerous refrigerants that can be harmful to the atmosphere if they were to leak. That’s why appliance recycling is a service we offer our customers. We ensure the appliances we collect are responsibly recycled, giving you peace of mind, plus a few dollars in your wallet.

Program Terms & Conditions:
- Appliances must be in working condition
- Participants must be Lowell Light & Power customers
- Large appliances are eligible for free pickup. Small appliances may be dropped off at the LL&P office (please call ahead) or can be picked up at the same time as large appliances
- All appliances must be placed outside for your scheduled pick up day, LL&P staff will not enter any structure
- Limit of two (2) large and four (4) small appliances per customer per year
- Rebates will be processed as a bill credit
- Please allow 1-2 billing cycles after pickup for your rebate to be applied
Income Qualifications for Enhanced Rebate:

For families/households with more than 8 persons, add $13,750 for each additional person. Eligibility is based on 250% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines (source: hhs.gov/poverty-guidelines).
To receive income qualified rebate, customer must acknowledge that they meet the qualifications either over the phone or by email.
