LL&P’s Trees to Trails Program is Back for Another Year!

Lowell Light & Power’s Trees to Trails recycling event was a huge hit with our customers last year, so we are bringing it back in 2023!

Once again, we will be donating our time and resources to provide our community with FREE Christmas tree recycling. Don’t worry, you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy your tree through the New Year.  You can bring your undecorated trees to the designated area of Recreation Park & Fairgrounds (formerly Kent County Youth Fairgrounds) anytime between December 27th and January 10th.  Just look for the signs near the Bowes Road entrance.
LL&P staff will chip the collected trees and donate the wood chips for use on the Wittenbach Wege Center – Agriscience and Environmental Education trails!
There’s no limit to the number of Christmas trees you can recycle, but all trees *must* be free from tinsel, lights or any other decorations. We are thrilled to offer this program for another year, providing a great service to our community and helping out a local organization!
