Once again, Lowell Light & Power will be donating our time and resources to provide the Lowell area community with FREE Christmas tree recycling. Trees to Trails was such a great success the past three years and we are delighted to be able to offer it again!
Don’t worry, you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy your tree through the New Year. You can bring your undecorated trees to the designated area of Recreation Park & Fairgrounds (former Kent County Youth Fairgrounds) anytime between December 26th and January 11th. Just look for the signs near the Bowes Road entrance.
LL&P staff will chip the collected trees and donate the wood chips for use on the Wittenbach Wege Center trails! Last year over 80 trees were recycled, and we hope to collect even more this year!
There’s no limit to the number of Christmas trees you can recycle, but all trees *must* be free from tinsel, lights, and any other decorations.
We are thrilled to offer this program for another year, providing a great service to our community and helping out a local organization!
Give your Christmas tree another use instead of throwing it out!
